What is saving Earth to you?
I don't care about Earth. As long as I live, I'm fine.
I want to help in saving Earth. But it wouldn't make a difference since i am only one person.
Saving Earth is important. Everyone has their part to play.
I want the future generation to be able to live.
I must save Earth as it is the only place we can stay at now.

Introduction to JLP

Jurong Lake is a freshwater lake and reservoir located in the western region of Singapore formed with the damming of Sungei Jurong further downstream. The lake serves as a reservoir contributing to the water supply of the country. It lies next to the Lakeside MRT Station. The lake is surrounded by parkland, which serves as a recreational ground for nearby residents in Jurong East and Jurong West New Towns to enjoy.
Near/Within it are some tourist attractions such as Chinese Garden, japanese Garden and Tang Dynasty(which has closed down)
When we went there, we felt that it was a beautiful park filled with nature. But soon, we felt the opposite. Though we saw many flora and fauna, we saw human activities that would destroy the image of being Clean and Green in the park. There were constructions which involved chopping of trees and the construction may even cause pollution by both water and noise. There were litters frequently as we walked, and even dead fishes.

Impact of Man on JLP

Littering

Constructions(Part of the redevelopment plan)

We all know that this redevelopment plan is doing Man good. But we should also bear in mind that it also means that habitats and trees will be lost. We humans have the right to live in a beautiful, clean and safe place. So do they. So stop littering now and think of them before we act.

Conservation efforts at JLP

This sign, along with a few others, were found in the park as a act of conservation of the park, to tell residents what they should not do. Of which one was littering.

Together, let's keep the park safe and clean together, for all to enjoy!
